Hand Polarization: Positive & Negative

The palms of your hands discharge energy. In ordinary life the emission is so subtle as to be unnoticeable. However, when you think about directing healing energy to another person you often cause a more dynamic energy flow through the palms.

As with all electromagnetic currents, there are both positive and negative polarizations. For most persons, the negative polarization is centered in the left hand and the positive in the right hand. There are times when the polarization is positive for both hands. In those instances the positive polarization in your hands is balanced by a temporary negative polarization in the solar plexus.

In general, think of your left hand as being either: (a) Receptive, receiving from another source, such as energy from "on high" or (b) emissive, sending energy from the center of your being to another person.

When Dr. Earlyne Chaney heals, she raises her left hand level with or above her head as a kind of "antenna " for receiving cosmic healing energy which is then passed on to the seeker through the right hand.

Try the following experiment. Place your left hand on your left thigh, palm up. Center your attention upon it for a few moments. Note whether or not you sense an energy flow entering your hand, accompanied by a cooling sensation. Then do the same with your right hand, except that the energy flow will probably be leaving your palm and the accompanying sensation will be of warmth.

The purpose of this experiment is to help you recognize and remember the various sensations associated with energy flow --- warmth and coolness, slight pressure, tingling, tautness and a comfortable, good feeling are among the possibilities.

There are times when polarization includes more than positive and negative energy flow and the sensations mentioned above. You may also experience, either as an actual visual observation or as a distinct "feeling", the presence of color in the energy flow. Broadly speaking, the sense of red would indicate vitality and vigor; blue (one of the most important of the healing colors) suggests relaxation; green indicates growth and new life (building new tissues for example); yellow (or gold) denotes freedom or release from restrictive conditions; and white signals the presence of all the higher energies.
