Because the Eighth Degree, authored by Robert Chaney, hadn't been produced at the time the original office Index was composed, use the alternate files, below on right, to search an Eighth Degree term. To use this method, follow these instructions:

1. Open the Complete Index below, find your term and the location number. 

​

2. Now, open the Auxiliary Index below (right), locate the number range and Lesson number to find your term.
