How does your Consciousness influence Your Touch?

Your mind influences your body, and its individual parts, in unique, unnoticed ways. Your mind causes subtle changes in your hands, for example, depending upon what plans you make for their use.

If you plan to do heavy labor, your hands respond to that intent by becoming more firm and lower in temperature in order to contend with the friction of that labor. If you plan to do healing work, your hands become softer in texture and, usually, warmer in temperature.

The energy transmitted when you touch another person is operative on one or more of several levels.

It may be an emotional energy, such as the touch of love in its varied forms. It may be psychic, conveying energies of the mind and soul levels from from one person to another. It may be a spiritual energy, transmitting the cleansing and purifying potencies of life's higher dimensions.

In each instance, it's your mind which conditions and filters the energy flow. The process is automatic unless you consciously direct it. Physical and emotional energies flow freely when your awareness is centered upon physical and emotional activities, for for example. Other energies are to some degree (but not entirely) filtered out automatically. Your mind also conditions the energies so they vibrate harmoniously with others on the same level. Thus the emotional energies of one person find a compatible (or incompatible) meeting place with the emotional energies of another. The same is true on other electromagnetic levels.

As always, the formula is consistent with the three principles of Hermes:

1) Energy follows thought

2) Activity results from attention

3) The nature of the activity corresponds to the

nature of the thought.
