Let's Visit Your Hands as a Healing Tools

For a few moments hold a small book in your left hand. Place your right hand, palm down, on your right thigh. Slowly and carefully note the following details, and study them one at a time:

1) the joint at the wrist; 2) the veins; 3) the texture of the skin; 4) the hair; 5) the knuckles at the base of the fingers; 6) the joints of thumb and fingers; 7) the nails.

By now you may also have noticed that your hand seems slightly heavier, as though under a small amount of pressure. It probably also feels slightly warm. This is the result of your intense concentration upon it. You've actually altered the energy flow into and out of your hand to a slight degree.

Turn it over and look at your palm. Is there a trace of perspiration? Is it slightly oily? These responses to your concentration verify the probability that you possess the healing touch. At the least, they show that your hands respond quickly to mental concentration.

If you are going to use your hands as tools for the transmission of healing energy through you to another person, you would do well to engage in the above exercise from time to time. Doing so will reinforce the relationship between your consciousness and your hands as energy centers.

Another practice that will improve your healing technique and effectiveness is to engage in the following purely meditational exercise. Imagine what thoughts were in Jesus' mind when he engaged in certain of his healing by touch experiences. For example, when he touched Simon Peter's mother-in-law to heal her fever. Or when he touched the leper and cleansed him. Or when he touched the widow's son and returned him from his coma to a state of normal consciousness.

Try to recreate in your mind exactly what you imagine was in his. If you can duplicate the state of Jesus' consciousness in your own, you can duplicate the remarkable healing events he produced.

Please share and comment. We love hearing from you!
