The Mind's Energy Relationships and Self-Healing


Here's something you can do to build up your own resistance to disease and improve your own good health. This uses the mind relationships we have been discussing for the past few weeks.

On a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper write the heading:

What will I do to promote good health.

Then on the upper half of the paper write the subhead: 1 st week: physically. Under that subhead list all the items you can think of pertaining to your physical health. What are you going to do about nutrition? Exercise? Rest and relaxation? And any other items that come to your mind. Spend the first week of this program putting into effect the items you've listed. Do not hurry to the second week. Take a full week for your physical self. (Since this can be a significant change you may even want to take two weeks for this phase.)

On the lower half of the paper write the subhead:

2 nd week: emotionally.

Then list what emotional changes you can make that will contribute to your well-being. What are you going to do about your emotional nature---your anger, pride, sense of compassion, and of love? Work on this list for a full week as you continue working with the first week's list.

Next, on a second sheet of paper, upper half, place the subhead:

3 rd week: mentally.

List the attitude changes you believe will help you feel better. New studies, books to read, mental programming, self improvement seminar. Work for a week at changing them, continuing with your objectives for weeks one and two.

Finally, on your lower half write the subhead:

4 th week: spiritually.

List what you can do spiritually to improve your life. Attend church, meditate, attend a retreat or spiritually oriented classes, read special books. Follow your own suggestions for a week as you reinforce the previous week's programs.

Continue to review the entire list and work on your own program for improvement. This method helps you become organized regarding your health and enables you to coordinate all four categories harmoniously, resulting in general good health by working with the energies of life.
